GENERAL DISCIPLINE

Recommendation to Students

  • Students are to maintain a high standard of good manners and general behavior. They should be polite and well behaved. They should nurture the qualities of respect for elders and teachers; cultivate the virtues of honesty and truthfulness. Always keep in mind that the school image is judged by the students conduct.
  • Students should realize that they are responsible to the school authorities not only for their conduct within the school but also for their general behavior outside. Any reported or observed objectionable conduct out of school shall make them liable to disciplinary action.
  • Students are expected to converse in English. Disciplinary action will be taken against the speaking in any other language than English.
  • The students must reach the school five minutes before the first bell 7.55 a.m. after which main gate will be closed.
  • At the sound of the bell, students should assemble in their respective classes.
  • Students should be regular and punctual. Students coming late to school will be sent back at the risk of their parents.
  • Once a student attends the school he/she will not be allowed any sort of leave. In cases of emergency, the child will be escorted home by the parent with the permission of the gate pass.
  • Habitual late attendance, repeated unjustified absence, habitual inattention to school work, disobedience, slang language or objectionable moral conduct are sufficient reasons for the dismissal of a students.
  • In case of absence no students will be admitted to class without leave note. In case of long leave prior leave note should be given to the principal.
  • Every pupil of this school is required to have a copy of the school diary which must be brought to school on all school days, failing which one may forfeit that day’s attendance. One should, moreover, make oneself acquainted with the rules and obey them. Ignorance of the rules will plead no excuse for its sanction.
  • In the event of heavy rains and strikes, parents will take the initiative and the responsibility to decide whether their child should attend school or not. Please do not make phone calls regarding this.
  • Students must take sufficient care of their personal appearance. All students should be habitually clean and neatly dressed. A student coming to school without proper uniform will be refused admission in the class.
  • Running, playing or shouting inside the school corridors particularly in the classrooms is never allowed. Pupils should not be walking about the school verandas during the class hours and while moving from one class to another, they should see to it that the neighboring classes are not disturbed, and that they move in silence and in order.
  • In the absence of the teachers in the class students must obey the class monitor appointed to maintain good order.
  • Students are expected to address their teachers and all members of staff with due respect and politeness.
  • Students should never sit on the Teacher’s chair in the classroom or on the desk.
  • Boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals and Girls should plait their hair with red ribbons, if it is bellow the shoulder. Short hair for girls should be neatly combed and ned.
  • No fancy hair clips, jewelry or wrist band is allowed.
  • Girls must wear appropriate length of skirt. The skirt must fall on till the knees.
  • On Wednesday and Saturday Students should wear White shoes.
  • Care must be taken of all school property and no one should scratch or spoil desks, benches, chairs or damage any school furniture. Care should be taken that the younger ones are not harmed in anyway. Pupils should avoid defacing the wall or floor of the school by writing or drawing anything on them.
  • Those who bring bicycles should keep them properly locked at the place fixed for them.
  • Books, note – books, bags, Tiffin box etc. should bear the name and class of the owner. The school is not responsible for any such thing that gets lost.
  • Please see that children bring with them their tiffin box, pen, pencil, books etc. when they come to school. No arrangements will be made to send these things to the students during working hours if brought by parents, servants or others.
  • No books, pamphlets, audio & video cassettes, newspapers periodicals, cinema poster or other literature of any kind that has not been approved by the school authorities is to be brought in to the school.
  • Mobile phones, iPod are strictly allowed. if any found with the possession of the student will not be given back to the students.
  • No collection for any purpose whatsoever is to be start by students without the approval of the principal.
  • Engaging of private tutors whether of the school staff or otherwise is not recommended. No student should take private tuitions from a teacher in the subjects that are taught by the teacher.
  • Gift to teachers or celebrations in their honor require the previous sanction of the principal.
  • Visits to student or teachers during school hours by parents Ans other visitors are strictly forbidden. Permission is to be obtained from the Principal/In charge in unavoidable cases.
  • Change of address and telephone nos. are to be intimated to the school office.
  • Students should be discouraged to being money to school until and or unless it is notified in the diary to bring for any school purpose.
ATTENDANCE

  • All students require minimum 75% attendence to be eligible to appear for the final examination.
  • Leave of absence upto maximum of 6 days only will be granted by the principal ON A PRIOR WRITTEN APPLICATION AND FOR SERIOUS REASONS ONLY. Parents taking childern away for marriages, festivals, holidays etc. without prior permission of the principal are acting aginst the school regulators and are liable for disciplinary action.
  • The students are not allowed to be absent on the closing day reopening day, or whenever ther is a school function. In casse of substantial reasons prior notice is a must.
  • If a students is absent on account of illness, he must bring a letter from his parents / guardian. For illness of more than 3 days the letter must be supported by a medical certificate.
  • During school hours no students are allowed to leave the class Room without the permission of the teacher untill the class is dismissed.
  • Parents are requested not to ask children to come away from school before the school closed for the day except in case of real necessity, in which case permission should be obtained previously in writing.
  • It may kindly be noted that children will not be sent home in emergency with anyone who might come for them during scholl hours without a written request from the parent / guardian.
  • The school authorities will not be responsible for anything happening to a students of any class before school hours or after school hours. Parents / Guardians must take this matter some seriousness and see that their child comes to school in time and reaches home soon after the class is over.
  • Parents are strongly asked not to send their child to school when he or she is suffering from communicable diseases.
  • SCHOOL FEES

  • The school collects Tuition Fee for twelve months only. The twelve months fee can be paid at a time or monthly.
  • Admission fee is collected when a child is newly admitted in the school.
  • A pupil who fails to pay the fees for tow months continuously may be asked to discontinue his / her studies.
  • The monthly tuition fees should be paid before 30th of every month. The last day to pay the fees wil be the previous working day. A fine of Rs. 25/- will be levied on those who failed to pay the fees on time and for the further delay of payment Rs. 10 will be added to the fine per month.
  • Fee can be paid in cash / cheque or online. the cheque should be A / C payee drawn in favour of Sacred Heart Academy.
  • RULES & REGULATION

    We have given some rules and regulations pertaining to the school for general guidance of the parents. We will always welcome your ideas for progress of the school.

    Recommendation to Students

    1 Students are requested to come to the school 10 minutes prior to each school session. Late-comers will not be allowed to attend the school.
    2 Every student must bring school diary daily to the school.
    3 Students must observe personal hygiene and always be neatly dressed.
    4 Students are requested to come to school in properly dressed uniform, socks and school shoes.
    5 All the students are going to carry their school bag, tiffin box and water bottle with them.
    6 In order to cultivate good eating habits, children must bring Chapati-Puri bhaji in their tiffin and avoid eating junk food.
    7 Every student must participate in all school activities.
    8 Students should not bring valuables or wear any ornaments and should not bring mobile phones, camera, etc. in the school. The school does not accept any responsibility for any loss of property belonging to any child.
    9 Children are expected to take care of their books and not to tear off the pages.
    10 I-card is compulsory for each student.
    11 Please send a napkin with your child for personal cleanliness.

    Recommendation to Parents

    1 Parents are requested not to go directly to the class room of the children, contact the office in case of need.
    2 Parents are requested to label the belongings of their child like bag, tiffin box and water bottle properly with their name.
    3 Any notice/remarks / report cards should receive prompt attention and signature is necessary.
    4 Parents too, may send their comments to the school through diary /separate note.
    5 Parents are advised to check the school bags of the children on daily basis to ensure that they bring books strictly as per time-table only.
    6 Provide your child with wholesome breakfast to school.
    7 Make sure that your child gets adequate amount of sleep every night.
    8 Provide adequate clothing that is washable and easily fastened and unfastened.
    9 Avoid sending chocolates, gifts, or sweets on your child’s birthday or on any other special occasion.
    10 If your child remains absent, please send a note explaining the reason for staying away. This is essential for the teacher to understand the child if he/she has been away due to bad health.
    11 Report changes of address and phone number promptly to the teacher and the school office.
    12 Promote the attitude of respect for the rights and properties of others.
